Maharashtra Board of Education will be conducting a review about the 12th Maharashtra board Exam and 10th Maharashtra board exam 2022. The status of the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) and Secondary School Certificate (Class 10) written examination was to be conducted offline. Due to rising cases, the board will be conducting a review soon.

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, MSBSHSE is scheduled to conduct the SSC and HSC Maharashtra board Exams 2022 from March.
In view of the current situation, the board will be conducting a review meeting to decide on the best course of action for the coming Maharashtra board exam 2022. The Maharashtra Board Exams for Classes 10 and 12 may be postponed for now as the number of cases increasing in Maharashtra. The school Education Ministry is likely to make a statement soon.
BMC officially closed all schools in Mumbai and Greater Mumbai area for Classes 1 to 9 and Class 11. Classes 10 and 12 are still continuing offline, due to the board exams are starting in February and the written exam in March.
There is an assumption that the review is being conducted not to announce postponement at present but rather to understand alternatives available and be prepared in the case of any eventuality. All offline classes might also be put on hold in the state if the situation worsens further.
Board officials are concerned for the health and safety of students due to the rise of the new variant Omicron and have expressed the need to review the situation in the nine divisional boards. Senior officials, however, have stated that the board has no plan in changing the mode of examination and will follow the status quo.
According to the schedule announced by the Maharashtra State Board of Education for Class 12 HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate), oral exams are to be held between February 14 to March 3, 2022, and written exams will be held starting March 4, 2022. Likewise, for Class 10 SSC (Secondary School Certificate) oral and practical exams are to be held between February 25 to March 14, 2022, and written examinations will be held from March 15, 2022.
